Becky Serpe, a Legacy Writing Facilitator, spiritual director, grief companion, and end-of-life death doula, shared her expertise with us about "Legacy Letter Writing." She illuminated the purposes of this powerful practice, as well as how to utilize it for yourself and those you companion. She provided examples, then guided us through the process.

Nov. 19, 2025: Bringing Creative Presence and Practice into the Grief Journey with Christine Hiester

​From Christine: "I am so looking forward to sharing in this sacred time with you. When we come together on Wednesday, we will share in a contemplative practice on holding our grief with gentleness and spaciousness. Please have with you:
 
  • a flat surface on which to work
  • a large piece of watercolor or mixed media paper, preferably 11x14 or larger
  • one of the following–
    • a paintbrush, watercolor paint palette or a jar of ink, and jar of water
    • an artist brush pen or two
    • paint pens or sharpies
